5th Annual Verde River Runoff
The 5th Annual Verde River Runoff is just around the corner. The competitive event and fun run is a 5 & 10-mile canoe and kayak race including stand-up paddle boards. There are multiple entry categories to challenge every type of boater with trained safety personnel stationed at hazard locations. The course will wind its way through mostly Forest Service lands set against the picturesque backdrop of the red rocks from White Bridge or Clear Creek in Camp Verde to Beasley Flats. Join us for the after-party and awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Camp Verde Spring Heritage Pecan and Wine Festival. VRRO is made possible through a Special Use Permit from the Prescott National Forest District. Besides being a lot of fun, proceeds go to conservation efforts for the threatened Verde River and outdoor recreation in the Verde Valley. Cost is $50 – registration details announced http://vrvno.org/
