Verde Valley Birding & Nature Festival 2018
The Verde Valley Birding & Nature Festival provides a unique recreational experience to anyone interested in the natural world and fosters awareness of the importance of habitat for the enrichment of all life in the Verde Valley. The 17th Annual Verde Valley Birding and Nature Festival is April 26th - 29th, hosted by Friends of the Verde River at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Participants can choose from over 50 field trips led by experienced birders. Field trip locations include Sycamore Canyon, Bubbling Ponds Preserve, Dancing Apache Ranch, and Stoneman Lake. Other activities, such as walks along the Verde River Greenway and the Sedona Wetlands, provide a wide array of birding opportunities for every level of birder. The regular registration fee is $15. It includes admission to the park, parking, access to exhibits & booths, the Thursday afternoon social, and administration costs. Field trips, guided walks, workshops, seminars, and some special events have an additional fee. We have instituted a Family registration fee of $30, which includes registration for two adults plus any number of dependent children ages 6 - 18 years. Volunteers who contribute a minimum of 8 hours will have their registration fee waived. Sign-up to volunteer at http://bit.ly/2DT72zt The theme for this year's festival is "Symphony on Wings."
