Having grown up in Tucson, then lived in the NorthEast for 20+ years and returned to Arizona in the beautiful Verde Valley, I have a deep appreciation for helping people within our community.

My name is Michael Wilcox. I grew up here in the Verde Valley and have enjoyed life in this beautiful town. I have found a love for Landscaping and decided to start a company to help people give their yard a personality. Vision Statement

Friends of Verde River Greenway envisions a healthy, flowing Verde River and tributaries that support our unique environment, vibrant economy, and quality of life for future generations.

Home for New Beginnings is a 501c3 nonprofit established in 2016. Our mission is to establish loving, nurturing homes for displaced children right here in the Verde Valley. Be it incarcerated parents, elderly grandparents or any other unfortunate circumstances, Home for New Beginnings believes that if you "save one child, saves a generation." Due to not enough foster parents locally, children that don't have immediate family are sent out of the county and their world as they know it is falling apart. Keeping our homes local will at least ensure that the children can stay in their community, school, sports & still be near for family to visit. Our homes will have certified, trained "house parents" to help this children through their difficult time. Even if the child goes off to college or ages out of the system, they will always have a loving home to come back to!

Serving decades in the Final expense industry, I help families in the Verde Valley, throughout Northern Arizona to help with pre-need funeral and cremation advanced planning as an enrolled life insurance agent with the State of Arizona, in support to assist families through the sales process of planning and funding their funeral/cremation arrangements in advance using guaranteed Life insurance.  Easing the burden, controlling cost and being remembered how you want is the theme of my work.  Securing today's prices and preventing future financial burden on your survivors is now easier than you may have thought possible.

I have been an Oregonian for 53 years and recently relocated to Arizona with my husband, Gary, after raising our family in Sisters, Oregon. We're excited to be here and out of the cold weather and the routine snow shoveling activities we face being next to the Cascade Mountain range. 

I was an elementary school teacher for 9 years prior to jumping into the mortgage industry.  Recently, after being introduced to Home Equity Conversion Mortgages a couple of years ago, I decided that is a massively misunderstood loan product and I wanted to take it head on to educate and provide services to help our Seniors who are in need of some creative financing to assist during their retirement (or even pre-retirement) years. 

We have 2 grown children who visit from time-to-time and a dog named, Zero. We live in the Verde Santa Fe neighborhood and are loving our new friends and community.
